Property Details
Edinburgh accommodation self catering Sleeps 2 (+2) A character holiday property in the heart of the New TownAbout the location - Edinburghs Georgian New Town is not really that new - it is actually from around the late 1700's with architects James Craig and Robert Adam both playing their parts in its construction. It is a world renowned architectural gem and is part of the world heritage area of Edinburgh. Consequently, this area is a highly desirable place to live (as evidenced by the various plaques showing residents to be advocates etc) and the New Town Mews gives you the opportunity to see what living in this area is like. The city centre is on your doorstep as are the fashionable areas of Stockbridge (often referred to as the village in the city) and the more bohemian Broughton Street. There are plenty of local bars and restaurants to choose from and Margiottas on Northumberland Street (a couple of minutes walk) can provide everyday groceries. About this Edinburgh Apartment - Set in a secluded cobbled lane south of Northumberland Street in Edinburghs Georgian New Town, this property is a one-bedroom mews house which sleeps 4 with secure private parking for one car. Car parking is in the private courtyard to the rear of the mews and this area is also ideal for enjoying a barbeque during the balmy summer evenings. The New Town Mews has a 4 star accreditation from the Scottish Tourist Board (Visit Scotland) assuring you that the highest quality standards are met.The double bedroom (with king-size bed) and luxury en-suite bathroom (with shower) are on the ground floor. On the first floor, accessed by a impressive spiral staircase, there is an open plan living room/kitchen/dining area and separate shower room. This is a contemporary, bright living space having windows to the front and rear and skylights above. There is a living flame fire at one end and a dining table which can seat up to 4 people. An all-in-one digital TV/DVD/CD player with Freeview channels is provided for entertainment as well as a library of books and films and comprehensive tourist information.
