When you are dealing with a company that you haven't before and especially if it is on the internet it is nice to be able to research exactly who you are doing business with. If you have been looking at various sites you may have even seen a few that look as though the company name is Edinburgh Apartments. We are the only Edinburgh Apartments as registered with the UK government. We can not only assure you but also back up everything about our business so you can do your own research before you arrive. Here are some things you might like to know about us.
1. Firstly and most importantly we are the only company officially called "Edinburgh Apartments". You can check us out by visiting the UK governments company register at the companies house website www.companieshouse.gov.uk and then perform a company search. If you see another website which makes it look as though their company name is Edinburgh Apartments please BE AWARE. Do more research to find out the real company name and then research that name for back up reviews etc. Our company number is SC159401.
2. We are a member of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce www.edinburghchamber.co.uk and you can check us out there also. The Edinburgh Chamber is a member led organisation working to support the local business community and specifically its 2000 plus member network.
3. We are a member of Visit Scotland which is the local tourist board. PLease note that not every apartment is graded and part of Visit Scotland but you will be able to see by a shield with the Visit Scotland logo on the appropriate page.
4 You can see above how we rate on some 3rd party websites - Trip advisor which is probably the best site for guest reviews has rated our company as "Excellent" 5 stars at the time of publishing (August 2011). Our top rental 2011 on Flip Key was for our Castle Esplanade apartment

7 In these economic times it is good to know the company you are dealing with has been around for a while. We have been trading since 1995.
8 Have you ever thought about what you would do if something went wrong whilst you were on holiday? If you book through a global company you might not have the back up you need. Local knowledge is important and we only deal with Edinburgh and the golf coast along to North Berwick - an area of around 25 miles. We are around at all times during your stay so if you need something it is just a quick phone call - not a switchboard, not an email only contact. You will have mobile numbers as well as our office number so a member of staff can be round quite quickly.
9 If you dont believe us about point 8 above you may want to think about the following. We noticed another website offering self catering accommodation across Europe with Edinburgh a chosen city. In their write up for the city they talked about our main street Princess Street (its actually Princes Street) and the views over the Pentland Firth which is quite amazing considering it is a few hundred miles north near Inverness (it should have been Firth of Forth). Now picture yourself in Edinburgh and needing to ask about something - could you trust that type of company? Dealing local is the best way.
