Corporate stays

Our corporate rates offer a better way to fund staff accommodation in Edinburgh for businesses of any size. It doesnt matter about the size of business and if you are looking for staff accommodation, an apartment will be far cheaper than hotels or bed and breakfast. Here are some examples:

Example 1: Business A was looking to accommodate some building contractors from Ireland for an 8 week contract within a 40 min drive of Edinburgh Airport. They had already sent some staff to Edinburgh who were staying in bed and breakfast accommodation. They booked a 6 person apartment which had individual beds (its always best to check that each apartment has the exact sleeping arrangements you need) and for the duration of the 8 week contract they saved £3600 in total. Maybe you dont believe us? OK - here is how they did it:

They were paying £50 a night for a twin room bed and breakfast and needed 3 rooms to accommodate the 6 staff. Over the remaining 8 weeks that would have cost £50 a night x 3 rooms = £150 a night times 56 nights = £8400.

We booked them into our Meadowbank duplex where the van parking on street was free at a price of £600 per week. The total was £4800.
So a saving of £3600 for an 8 week contract! We should point out that the apartment was self catering so didn't include breakfast but on the flip side of that it has its own kitchen, its own lounge, a couple of shower rooms, free wifi so the staff were far happier with that set up. They commented that they felt a lot more relaxed being able to prepare their own food at times that suited their work schedule and lets face it for a saving of £3600 they could have had breakfast out if they had wanted every day and still had change.

Example 2: Business B which is a well known international company from India were relocating staff to Edinburgh for a contract. The contract was long enough that most of their staff were loking to find long term apartments (ie 6 month contracts) but they also needed short term stays as each group came over. We arranged for short term accommodation for arrival and in some cases managed to sort out long term leases in some of our long term properties. We were also able to point them in the right direction when we didn't have any long term places available. The key here to saving money for business B was to ensure a speedy transition from short term to long term accommodation which we helped to facilitate.
