About the location - Wow! If you want the Old Town and Edinburghs historic Royal Mile then this place is for you. Opposite the Saltire Society, close to John Knoxs house and next to the Storytelling Centre this Edinburgh apartment will provide an ideal base for exploring Edinburghs Old Town and beyond. The Royal Mile itself has Edinburgh castle at the top and Holyrood Palace at the bottom. In between there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and of course all the interesting buildings of the Royal Mile. Edinburghs main shopping street Princes Street is only a 5 minute walk away with the Georgian New Town just beyond. Edinburgh Waverley train station is within easy walking distance and if arriving by car there are 2 car parks nearby (fee payable). There is a grocers and newsagents within 20 metres of the front door.
