About the location
If you want the Old Town and Edinburghs historic Royal Mile then this place is for you. Opposite the Saltire Society, close to John Knoxs house and next to the Storytelling Centre this Edinburgh apartment will provide an ideal base for exploring Edinburghs Old Town and beyond. The Royal Mile itself has Edinburgh castle at the top and Holyrood Palace at the bottom. In between there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and of course all the interesting buildings of the Royal Mile. Edinburghs main shopping street Princes Street is only a 5 minute walk away with the Georgian New Town just beyond. Edinburgh Waverley train station is within easy walking distance and if arriving by car there are 2 car parks nearby (fee payable). There is a grocers and newsagents within 20 metres of the front door. If you are coming during the festival then the Pleasance Courtyard which is one of the main venues is very close and the venues in the coygate and grassmarket are easy to walk to.

About the apartment
This Edinburgh holiday apartment is situated on the second floor and is part of a traditional tenement stair (the building is around 125 years old). There is a living room, kitchen, bedroom and shower room. The lounge overlooks the Royal Mile and has a living flame fire as well as tv, dvd, and cd player for entertainment. There is a sofa bed in the lounge if more than 2 people are staying and there is also a dining table which can seat up to 4 people. Just off the lounge is the kitchen which is well equipped with oven, hob, fridge, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. The bedroom also overlooks the Royal Mile and has secondary glazing to minimise street noise. As you can see from the picture it is beautifully finished and you will find a selection of toiletries on arrival. Linen and towels are included in the price as are the utilities. The shower room has a w.c, wash hand basin and shower with Mira Sport shower unit. Molton Brown handwash supplied. There is gas central heating which is fully controllable - essential for the winter months and a guarantee of a cosy stay while you watch the world go by on the Royal Mile. Welcome basket is provided with wine, croissants etc
Check in
As a rough guide check in is 4pm and check out is 11am.
Payments
You will initially pay 25% deposit when you book to reserve the apartment. We will then request the balance around 6 weeks before arrival which can be paid by credit card or Paypal. For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance the full amount will be due and in really late bookings from a couple of days before arrival we can either take credit card payments or cash on arrival.
Stag nights/hen nights
Please note we do not accept hen or stag parties at this property.
Smoking
Please also note this is a no smoking apartment and a deduction will be made from the deposit if we need to have curtains or furnishings dry cleaned to eliminate tobacco odours.
Pets
For the comfort of all guests we do not accept pets at this property.
